Any leadership survey will tell you that the priority of skilling and upskilling workforce is always top of mind. It is a given that people thrive in workplaces when they feel invested in. Yet, the connection between organizations prioritizing their talent and taking specific actions towards investments into talent development is often broken. Why is that? As an organization, do you know when and how to best invest in your workforce?

Pause and ask yourself these two questions:

Do you know what skills your organization has today?

Do you know what skills you will need in the future?

The last year has been incredibly challenging on many fronts. There has been a seismic shift in how we work. As we embarked into 2021, the goal for many organizations has been to move beyond the stresses that the economic uncertainty of a global pandemic has left on their workforce. For some companies the impact of the pandemic on people is as important as the impact on the top and bottom line. With the rug ripped from under their feet, organizations have had to reassess quickly, and readjust to the new normal in operations and how they work.

As we near the end of the first quarter in 2021, we are at the precipice of rapid data transformation and accelerated change. The opportunity now presents itself to execute on all that we have learnt about skill development, revenue generation, and operating efficiencies that helped us weather the storm of 2020.

As part of our ongoing work to understand how we can help organizations uncover potential and create value through leveraging their talent , Ibbaka is reaching out to key decision makers to understand what role skills, competencies and talent management platforms play in executing on organizational goals and strategy.

We hope that participating in this research will provoke thinking around how the talent management ecosystem supports your organizational objectives, and help you think through the role of technology and tools in talent development and building future ready processes.
