Research shows that different geographies have responded to Covid 19 and its treatment in very different ways. Many scientists attribute these differences to Covid infection and therapy to Epigenetics. Epigenetics is a branch of science that deals with the study of how our behaviours and environment can cause changes that affect the way our genes work. The Center for Disease Control has a good introduction to this.

Please take our short survey on how talent management is evolving

We can use this as a metaphor to understand how opportunities related to talent management are shaped by an organization's culture (the environment) and will lead to a particular set behaviours to express your talent (the gene). As a leader, you need a set of skills and competencies to perform effectively in the context of a job, role or team. Talent alone is not enough, you need the environment (organizational culture) to express the behaviors that lead to success. At Ibbaka, we use ideas from Epigenetics to help you figure out the competencies of top performers (nature) and the culture nurture) needed to make them successful.

The nature vs nurture debate generates a tension often faced by organizations and leaders. We have a two-pronged approach to solve this problem. Our consulting services help you reconcile nature and nurture, understanding the skills and competencies necessary for performance and the culture where that performance can be realized. The Ibbaka Talent provides a platform where you can build a synergy between talent (genes) and the organization's culture (environment) to deliver on an organization's vision.

To guide our development process, we frequently ask for your feedback. Here is a short survey asking you about your talent management experience. We thank you for your time and inputs. If you provide us with your email we will share with you the results.
