Ibbaka Talent Skill Profile Privacy FAQ

Who can see my skill profile?

This depends on where and how your profile is hosted by Ibbaka Talent.

If your profile is hosted at talent.ibbaka.com, anyone with a link to your profile can view your profile including non members. Members of Ibbaka Talent will be able to find your profile if they search by name, or if they are given a link to your profile. Keep in mind that anyone can create an account on Ibbaka Talent for free.

If your profile is in a private, hosted environment, only people who share membership in your organization, within that environment, will be able to see your profile. If someone were to be given a link to your profile, they would not be able to see it.

Who can contact me through my profile?

The contact link (envelope icon) on your skill profile is only visible to other members of Ibbaka Talent within the environment where you profile is hosted.

Messages sent to you from the contact link on your profile will be delivered to the primary email address you have chosen for your account.

Can I restrict who is able to contact me?

In Q2 of 2022, Ibbaka will make it possible for you restrict contact permissions only to those people with whom you share organizational or network membership, or to bar anyone from contacting you through your profile.

Who can see the organizations or networks to which I belong?

Only people with whom you share membership in an organization or network will be able to see that you are a member of the organizations in which you share membership. For example, if I’m a member of one organization and one network, and a colleague of mine shares membership in the organization, they will only be able to see my affiliation with that organization. They will not know that I am also a member of the network.

Can I control how my profile appears in search results?

All profiles within the Ibbaka Talent environment where your profile resides are searchable by name. However, you can control how your profile shows up in skill search results simply by choosing your preferred level of search visibility, right from your profile header.

The options in the dialogue are as follows:

Not searchable: No one can search for you based on skills or experience (e.g., roles)

Allow Internal Searches: Your profile will only be visible in skill or role searches conducted by people who are also part of organizations in which you share membership.

Note that if you belong to multiple organizations or networks on Ibbaka Talent, choosing this option ensures that anyone in any organization of which I am currently a member is able to find me in skill and role searches.

Allow Extended Network Searches: Your profile will be searchable by everyone in your organization, as well as those who are members of past organizations.

Findable: Your profile will be searchable by everyone in your organization, as well as people who do not belong to any of your past or current or past organizations.

Share self-assessments with others: Your self-assessments are displayed on your skill profile, and anywhere else on the platform your skills are visible, including your organization page, in team of which you are a member, and in search results.

When you click the button indicated above, the following dialogue box will display.
