Activate a competency model
When an Ibbaka Talent competency model is ACTIVE it is visible to anyone in the company, or anyone on Ibbaka Talent (if the PUBLIC option is selected).
Also, when people in the company are assigned a job from the model, their skill records can be compared to the skills in that job. On one side of the coin, that person can see how their skills match the job. On the other side of the coin, an authorized manager can list all the people who have that job, and conduct individual and aggregate comparisons with the model.
New jobs will likely be constructed in an active model as it evolves. The state of a Job (or any other element in the model) can be marked as NOT READY (the default state) or READY. Ready elements in active models are visible along with the model.
To change the state of a model (ACTIVE or INACTIVE) or of some element in the model (READY or NOT READY), click its pencil icon to open its Edit mode. There you will find the state switch.
NOTE: Only when you set a model to be ACTIVE do the privacy settings become available; inactive models are visible to its editors only.
