Conducting a Joint Assessment
Overview
This feature needs to be activated by Ibbaka Talent in order for your organization to be able to conduct joint assessments. Please see our Joint Assessment Overview and FAQ for more detail on Joint Assessments.
Joint assessments can be initiated at any time by either an employee or their manager. In order to initiate a joint assessment, you have to have completed one of the following steps:
Connect a job to your skill profile from a competency model, OR
Create a job from scratch in your profile
You also need to add your manager as an observer for your job.
Starting the joint assessment:
Check the box next to your manager’s name in the stakeholder drawer for the job.
From the three-dots menu in the stakeholder drawer, select the option to make this person your manager.
Select the three-dots menu again, and select ‘Start Joint Assessment’
What happens next?
When you start a joint assessment, the person with whom you are conducting the joint assessment will receive an invitation. You will be notified by email when the person has accepted or declined the invitation. You can begin your assessment as soon as you’ve initiated the invitation. Email notifications will keep you up to date on the overall status of your invitation, and the assessment itself.
Completing the Joint Assessment
Provide your assessment for each skill. If this is not the first time you’ve assessed skills for this particular person and job, review your assessments and see if you’d like to change any of them.
Note that while an assessment is in progress, you will see the phrase ‘Joint Assessment In Progress’ in the job modal window, above the skills for that job. Under the roles tab in your skill profile, you will also see a green or a red dot next to the words, ‘Employee’ and ‘Manager’ to indicate the status of their assessment. A red dot means that person has not completed their assessment. A green dot means they have completed the assessment.
Click ‘Finalize Assessment’. This will trigger an email notification to the other person that you have finalized your half of the joint assessment.
Once both parties have completed their assessment, you will both receive an email with the joint assessment report attached. The report will also be available for download under the Roles tab of your Skill Profile.
