Set the expected expertise level for a skill in different contexts

The expected level of expertise for a skill differs depending on the nature of the job where it is used. When you include some skill in an element (job, competency, task, or behaviour), you can not only set its level of expertise, you can also set how important it is for the element (Must Have, Should Have, and Nice to Have).

To set the importance, select the skill via its checkbox, open the context menu (the three dots), and choose one of the importance levels (default is Should Have).

To adjust the level of expertise, click the skill’s expertise icon. A column of five* icons will appear, with the highest level at the top. Select a different level by clicking on its icon. The column will close, and the new level will be set.

* NOTE: By default Ibbaka Talent has five expertise levels. Various organizations have their own levels. Your organization's expertise levels would be set in your Ibbaka Talent  models by someone who has administrative status.

To remove a skill, click on the Minus icon on the skill name’s upper righthand corner.

NOTE: You cannot remove a skill from a model's main page because it might be used in various places with various levels of expertise.
