Add documents and get keywords from them

You can upload relevant files, and/or add links to any element (Job etc.).

To extract keywords from the text of a document or link as candidates for skill terms, click the "magic wand" to the right of its name. While the extraction is in progress, the magic wand is replaced by a clock. When the extraction is finished, the clock becomes a green "open" button (to open the document's Details section). (You may have to refresh the page to see the whether the Details button appeared.)

Some of the extracted skills may be automatically listed in the Skill section of the element that you added the document to. These are also listed in the ALREADY ADDED section in the document’s Details. Even though they are listed, they are kind of in limbo until you explicitly accept or reject them.

The remainder of the extracted keywords are listed in the Details’ EXTRACTED PHRASES section. One of these extracted phrases can be renamed (if you wish) and assigned as a Skill, Credential, Tag, or Location.

Removing a document or link does not remove the information that was collected from it.
