Signing In for the First Time - Identifying Skills You Already Have
Overview
When you first sign-in to Ibbaka Talent, you will be presented with an onboarding guide that will allow Ibbaka Talent to identify an initial set of skills for your profile.
There are two paths through the guide. The first path is by uploading a resume (recommended). The second path is by identifying roles you either currently have, or roles you’ve had in the past, and some of the associated skills.
At this time, these guides are only available when you sign in to Ibbaka Talent for the first time.
Identifying Skills with a Resume
When you upload a resume to our onboarding guide, our Ibbaka Talent will process the document and look for skills. Your resume will not be stored in our system, and it will be used solely for the purposes of helping you choose an initial set of skills to begin building your Skill Profile.
The document engine can process files such as Word documents, text files, or PDF’s.
To use a resume to discover skills you may already have, follow these steps:
Log in to Ibbaka Talent with the password sent to you, or confirm your identity with the code that has been sent to your email address.
Provided you are logging in for the first time, you will be presented with two options: ‘Upload Resume’, or ‘Answer Questions'. Choose 'Upload Resume’.
Select the file you want to upload, then click, ‘Find Skills’.
Be patient. Processing a document can take a few minutes. When the process is complete, you will see a list of skills, organized by skill category. You can choose to ‘Select All’, or just check the boxes next to the skills you have. Click 'Next' at the bottom of the window when you have completed this step.
The AI will now suggest skills for you, based on the skills you’ve chosen. Check the boxes for any additional skills you wish to add to your profile from this window. Click ‘Next’ when you have completed this step.
At the final step, you are presented with all the skills that you’ve selected to populate your Skill Profile. Click ‘My Skill Profile’ to complete the process, and to go to your Profile.
Identifying Skills Using Current or Previous Roles
Ibbaka Talent can identify skills for roles and job titles that you have previously held or that you are performing currently. Here’s how it works:

Enter the name of one or more job titles or roles in your career for which you wish to identify skills. Click ‘Next’
To delete or correct a role, simply click the ‘minus’ sign on the field, then retype the role in a new field. If necessary, the AI will ask you to name a few skills that you’ve had in association with one or more of the roles or job titles you’ve named. If skills appear in the search drop down as you type them, simply choose one of those skills, or press ‘ENTER’ when you have finished typing the skill.
Click ‘Good to Go’.
Ibbaka Talent will present you with a list of skills it finds based on the jobs or roles that you’ve entered. Click the check box for all the skills that are relevant, then click ‘Next’.
Suggested skills will appear based on the skills you’ve selected. Select any additional skills that are relevant, then click ‘Next’.
At the final step, you are presented with all the skills that you’ve selected to populate your Skill Profile. Click ‘My Skill Profile’ to complete the process, and to go to your Profile.
